The Black Sheep, an eccentric name for a product that stresses out its diversity and particularity. This is an elegant wine that refers to the rosé wines of Provence. Its thoroughly modern philosophy is evident from its contemporary appearance and its screw cap. It is produced at the Mackedon Winery at Platanotopos, Kavala, while the vineyards are found in a small distance.

The special vinification of the Black Sheep rosé begins with the early harvest of grapes highlighting the particular characteristics of both Xinomavro & Syrah varieties.

Appellation: Protected Geographical Indication Macedonia

Varietals: Xinomavro 60%, Syrah 40%

Vinification Techiniques: Both varieties are harvested earlier than their optimal maturity to create a pale color rose with delicate aromas of citrus, botanical notes, strawberry and tomato leaves. In the mouth is rich due to the presence of Syrah and has high acidity thanks to the Xinomavro, pleasant and refreshing aftertaste.

Total Acidity: 5.6 g/l
Residual Sugar: 1.7g/l

Tasting Notes: Both varieties are harvested earlier than their optimal maturity to create a pale color rose with delicate aromas of citrus, botanical notes, strawberry and tomato leaves. Aging: Will respond to aging for up to 2-3 years after harvest.

Perfect Pairing: Served at 8-10oC. Ideally, it accompanies Mediterranean dishes, appetizers, green salads and seasonal fresh fruits. You can also enjoy as an aperitif.
