Its name refers to a great, noble product. The Lion D’ Or family is produced at the Mackedon Winery at Platanotopos, Kavala. It is a single-variety wine with screw cap and “lively” appearance.
For Lion D’Or red wine we chose the international variety Cabernet Sauvignon. Its cultivation on the foothills of Mount Pangeon has offered very good results.

Vinification Techniques: Classic red wine vinification, combined with micro-oxygenation. It matures in stainless steel tank with oak chips.

Tasting Notes: Deep purple colour. Intense aromas of red fruit, smoke, chocolate, and black pepper. Balanced in the mouth with medium acidity and round, soft tannins. Pleasant finish.
Perfect Pairing: Served at 16-18οC, an excellent match for pasta with meat, red meat with delicate sauces, mature soft cheeses.
